Well it's been quite some time since I fell off the blogosphere!

We moved to Newport, (I loved having views like this just 1 minute from my front door), and it was mostly a lot of fun. There was also a lot I didn't like, chiefly the flocks of people from May-October. The extra traffic made getting on and off the island, and even just from our home to the other side of the island tricky.

So after a lot of talk we decided to buy a house, the market was right, the finances were right, it was time. YAY!  This last move made a new record for me of three moves in less than two years. I am also thankful for the extremely dry winter it made moving in December easy peasy.

Our children were NOT happy about moving, especially Chavi he was sick and tired of being the new kid in class. Well we can all breath a sigh of relief because we will not be moving again, unless of course we when the lottery.

We are slowly getting rooted in trying to cross things off of the never ending list of things to do when you buy and old home. Sometimes I do miss living on the edge of an island and having the ocean right at my back door. Who wouldn't miss having THIS as their view every day!

However, living in a row house without a backyard is for the birds, and those cruise ships are chocked full of rude elderly people! I might get frustrated with the long list of to do's we have but I LOVE my home and I can't wait to see it in 2-5 years when we get everything looking just the way I envision.

The house is one hundred and twelve years old, she has great bones, most of the original hardwoods, a few of the original radiators. Our home has three bedrooms, 2 full baths (the upstairs is the original claw foot tub), a dining room, a great kitchen, living room, an unfinished basement, and an attic. Plus the one room out building that has electricity and plumbing already but needs a ton of work before it can be useful.

Mr.G is training for a deployment so he has been gone and will be for the rest of the summer. Chavi is going for a week of sleep away camp in a couple weeks, and Yaacov will have day camp around that time too which will be sort of a vacation for me too LOL. My Ima came for a visit right around the time Mr. G was leaving and that was wonderful I had not seen her in two years, I cried when she left. A week was not enough time. The summer will end with a camping trip to the White Mountains, I am taking the boys for 2 nights and 3 days and we are all very excited!
